Cracking the code to a future in machine learning
As an Analytics Manager at global professional services firm Genpact, Amir Yari wanted to better understand how machine learning algorithms worked. He chose the Machine Learning Foundations UTS Short Course because he wanted to learn the nuts and bolts of the technology rather than the mere application of algorithms. The 8-week course was a great start to Amir’s machine learning journey. He enjoyed the content, and with a combination of statistical and computer coding exercises, he gained the fundamental understanding he was looking for. With this insight, he could reflect and identify his strengths and weaknesses, pinpointing areas of focus for the future. He gained valuable practical coding skills, so now he can put his new algorithm ideas into practice.
Being able to write an algorithm from scratch after 8 weeks with little knowledge of programming was quite an achievement!
