Early Career Women in STEMM Paper and Grant Writing Workshop
Important information about the workshop
Why you should attend
This early career researcher (ECR) grant & paper writing workshop, designed for women in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine (STEMM) is aimed at strengthening the scientific writing, critical thinking and communication skills of Australia's next generation of scientists and academics. The workshop aims to provide mentoring, transparent peer review and centralised writing training opportunities that young women in STEMM may not have at their home institutions.
lt may also help to increase the number of female academics in STEMM related departments. ln particular, all ECRs need to complete a significant amount of scientific writing in their academic research positions including grant & fellowship applications, journal articles as well as patent applications, which requires critical writing skills towards their success as researchers.
This workshop will provide an opportunity for ECRs to build on their scientific writing skills and gain inspiration from mentors and like minded researchers, forming a valuable component of their academic career development.

It will help to strengthen the scientific writing and critical thinking skills of Australia’s next generation of scientists and academics and increase the number of female academics in STEMM related departments.
