2015 National iAwards success for the Biologically Inspired Climbing Robot
Following the success of the UTS:CAS-RMS team at the State iAwards in July, the team went on to represent NSW at the National iAwards last week, between 25-27th August, in Melbourne. They were judged against the innovative entries of the state/territory winners and merit recipients in the New Product catergory of the Development Domain so as to determine the national winner. The competition was of the highest quality but with its novel solution to the inspection and maintenance of aging national infrastructure, the Biologically Inspired Climbing Robot placed as a Merit Recipient. The team will now go on to represent Australia at the Asia Pacific ICT Awards (APICTA), to be held on 18-22 November in Sri Lanka!
