Future students take notice! Workers with a UTS degree are in even higher demand thanks to the university’s reputation and relationship with potential employers.
The University of Technology Sydney (UTS) continues to ascend the QS graduate employability rankings, coming 5th in Australia and improving its global position by 7 places.
The 2022 edition of the QS World University Rankings: Graduate Employability reviewed 787 universities, placing UTS 5th in Australia and moving it up to 62nd in the world for graduate employability.
The QS graduate employability rankings consider responses from more than 75,000 employers, nearly 41,000 mapped degrees and affiliations of more than 29,000 high-achievers. It also considers nearly 170,000 employers’ connections with graduates and evaluates more than 310,000 work placement partnerships.
2021 has been a challenging year, and I would like to specially thank all of our teaching staff for the continued commitment, resilience and positivity they have shown in response.

As well as graduate employment outcomes, the rankings rate employer reputation, partnerships with employers, presence of employers on campus and achievements of alumni.
At 62nd in the world, UTS is among the top 8% of universities in the rankings. UTS scored highly in Employer Reputation and Partnerships with Employers.
“This outcome is acknowledgement of the achievements of our students and the work of our staff, and another reason that UTS is committed to a meaningful connection between our teaching and research and cultivating strong partnerships with business and the community,” said UTS Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Andrew Parfitt.
