UTS has been recognised as one the top 300 universities in the world, according to Times Higher Education’s THE World Reputation Rankings 2025.
UTS joins the most influential and renowned universities in the rankings, attracting students and academics from around the world. Ten Australian universities made the top 300.
The ranking is a result of a THE Global Academic Reputation Survey which categorises universities from 38 countries which are perceived to be the best for research and/or teaching in their field. Using 18 indicators, the research-intensive universities are rated against all their core missions: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
“It’s enormously pleasing to see how strongly Australian universities continue to perform in a competitive global environment,” said UTS Vice-Chancellor Professor Andrew Parfitt.
“UTS prioritises research that leads to real world impact. Our contributions towards innovative construction and wastewater management, for example, or devising cutting-edge technologies in artificial intelligence, data science and automation, are the kinds of solutions that are best developed through collaborative research and building enduring partnerships.”
