Gaby Carney to join HTI on six-month fellowship
Policy, law and strategy expert Gaby Carney to join HTI team
Welcome to our new fellow
We are pleased to welcome policy, law and strategy expert Gaby Carney as an HTI Fellow for six months until late 2024.
Gaby is working on HTI’s AI Corporate Governance program, as well as a new project on AI assurance with a NSW Government agency which will deliver expert advice and practical guidance on the adoption and application of AI in a high-stakes decision-making context. This body of work will bring legal, regulatory and technical skillsets together to tackle some genuinely challenging and important questions about how to responsibly design and manage AI initiatives in complex operating environments—across the corporate and public sectors.
Gaby has spent more than two decades effecting change in the way organisations and governments design, deliver and reform strategy and policy.
Her work has included leading policy and legislative reform at the NSW Department of Communities and Justice; leading policy and strategic planning at Legal Aid NSW; establishing the Public Law, and Privacy and Data Law Committees while at the NSW Law Society; and working with clients to implement organisational improvements as a Partner at international management consulting firm, Partners in Performance.
Welcome Gaby!
