Featured speakers

Professor Rachel Landers

Professor Rachel Landers is a distinguished documentary filmmaker, writer, and historian with a PhD in history. Since 2018, she has led the Media Arts & Production and Animation Production programs at UTS, blending her rich experience in the film industry with her academic expertise.

Rowan Woods

Rowan Woods is an acclaimed Australian screen director, board member of the Australian Directors Guild (VP Feature Film) and Vice President of the IFFCD reporting to UNESCO. Rowan Woods' debut feature film THE BOYS premiered in competition at the Berlin Film Festival and was awarded BEST DIRECTOR at the Australian Film Institute Awards.

Matthew Dabner

Matthew Dabner, Course Coordinator for Creative Production at UTS, is a renowned screenwriter, producer, and development exec. His credits include The Square and Cedar Boys. With vast experience in major screen funding, he will inspire and guide future filmmakers at this event.

Dr. Liam Branagan

Dr. Liam Branagan has over 30 years in media production, working as a producer on award-winning short films and documentaries screened at major festivals. With extensive on-set experience in TV, film, and documentaries, he has taught media arts for 15+ years. Liam earned his Doctorate in Creative Arts from UTS in 2024.
