Appointments

Our appointments are in person at our service in CB01.06. The service also offers telephone appointments during office hours.

Home visits may be requested by regular patients who meet home visit criteria.

Criteria include:

  • Patient unable to attend the practice due to acute illness or infirmity.
  • Home visit may be undertaken if the patient’s home is within 2km of the practice
  • GP determines if a home visit is required

Note: Home visits are not bulk-billed.

Attendance policy

The UTS Health Service strives to provide high-quality health services through a system of booked appointments. Due to the demand for services, there are occasions when we cannot provide appointments at the requested time.

To assist us in providing services for all patients we appreciate if you:

  • Arrive on time for your appointment
  • Check in at the reception desk when you arrive
  • If you no longer require the appointment, cancel your appointment at least 3 hours in advance.

You are responsible for your appointment.

  • If you do not attend a scheduled appointment or provide 3 hours notice of cancellation, this information will be recorded.
  • If you do not attend your scheduled appointment or provide 3 hours notice to cancel your appointment on more than one occasion you will be charged a non-attendance fee (currently $40), so we urge you to contact us if you cannot attend your appointment.

You will only be permitted to attend this practice for a further appointment following payment of the non-attendance fee. The non-attendance fee will not be claimable from Medicare or private health insurance.

The University reserves the right to take all necessary action to protect the safety of its staff, students and facilities, and to ensure reasonable use of services and facilities. This may include revoking or placing conditions on access to facilities, services, or campus precincts.

Acknowledgement of Country

UTS acknowledges the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation and the Boorooberongal People of the Dharug Nation upon whose ancestral lands our campuses now stand. We would also like to pay respect to the Elders both past and present, acknowledging them as the traditional custodians of knowledge for these lands.
