To apply online to go on exchange, make sure you read the guidelines below. Check important dates for the application process.
Online application guidelines
Note: it is compulsory to complete the Global Exchange Information Session online to be granted access to the application.
1. Log in
- The online application link can be found in the "Applying for Exchange" module in CareerHub.
- The online application form has been optimised to work with Google Chrome and Firefox. It will also work on Netscape version 4.77 and higher, but we cannot guarantee that it will function correctly using other browsers, or using smart phones or tablets.
- If you are a first time user, select ‘University of Technology, Sydney’ from the drop-down list.
- In the next screen, enter your student number and password, and click ‘Login’.
- You will then see the Digital ID Card. Check that all the information is correct and click ‘Confirm’. You can now begin filling out the online application. You can return to your application any time. Just save the data each time you update, and before you exit.
2. Fill out the online form
- Carefully read the information on the first tab.
- Fill in all the fields on each tab of the online form.
- Don't forget to upload the requested documents.
- If you have studied at another university, upload your official academic transcript.
3. Submit your online form
- Review your application.
- If you are happy with the application and all fields are completed, you can submit it. Once submitted it cannot be changed.
4. Receive nomination from the Global Exchange Team
- After the application deadline has passed, the Global Exchange team will contact you to confirm receipt of your application.
- The Global Exchange Team will inform you by email of your host university placement by the relevant deadline. Check key dates in the application process.
5. Submit your host university study plan assessment form to the Student Centre for approval (when advised to do so)
