What’s your relationship with academic integrity?
Academic integrity means being honest, ethical, respectful, and responsible in our work and studies – but what does this mean for you as a student at UTS?
An exciting project where UTS students and staff will co-design the culture around academic integrity at UTS has kicked off, and you can get involved to have your say by participating in a 1:1 research interview (and nab yourself a $50 gift card!).
Research interviews
Interviews will be conducted by an independent research and strategic design partner (not UTS), with findings used to identify opportunities for intervention and driving positive change.
Topics in the discussion may include:
- your own experience as well as your observation of other students’ learning journeys, assignment or exam experience and challenges
- assessment methods
- perceptions of academic integrity.
Interviews will take place online in November and December 2022.
Co-design sessions
If you’d like to contribute further following the interview, we will also invite you to join us in translating the gathered data into actionable solution ideas.
How do I get involved?
To express interest, or if you have any questions, please email Patience with responses to the following:

If you agree to participate, your participation in this research is entirely voluntary and you may withdraw your participation at any time without having to give a reason. All notes will be deidentified to ensure privacy and only members of the research team will have access to the raw data. UTS will not have access to individual participant interviews or any recordings or transcriptions of these. Research subjects will be asked a series of questions to confirm their consent to participate prior to the interview.
