All tech is climate tech | Circular Quay
hosted by Greenhouse Climate Tech Hub
There's a misnomer that climate action is an 'all-or-nothing' game; that you can't be taking steps toward creating a nature positive environment without having everything you do be about the climate. We want to challenge this norm, and highlight the ways that anyone can take their passion, work and attention, and use it to benefit our environment.
In this interactive workshop, we'll leverage our climate tech community to facilitate an interactive look at how you can play a part in our climate transition - without having to pivot your career and focus. We'll be using world-class facilitation techniques used by our Greenhouse team to facilitate workshops for the World Economic Forum, US Air Force, and Australian Parliament.
Wednesday 1 November 4.30-6.30pm
Greenhouse Climate Tech Hub - Salesforce Tower: level 2/180 George St, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia

How do we create change that sticks? | Online
hosted by UTS - Graduate Research School
TL;DR: Successful innovation is built on research.
From identifying opportunities to fostering a customer-centric mindset to evaluating product-market fit, the foundation of lasting innovation is finding a way to gather meaningful data and translate that evidence into actionable insights.
Failure is nothing to be ashamed of, but there's no reason not to maximize your potential for success. Whether you're an entrepreneur with a new product or a social innovator trying to solve a wicked problem, you're trying to create change that sticks.
This panel focuses on the intersection of research, entrepreneurship, and the innovation ecosystem. We'll:
- demystify the concept of "research"
- share best practices for generating meaningful data and making evidence-driven decisions
- help you understand how to build the right collaborative ecosystem for the problem you want to solve
Featuring:

Rachel is a business psychologist, executive coach, entrepreneur, and Principal Consultant at Right Management. She's also a PhD candidate researching how to support entrepreneurship among veterans. - Kate Bennett
