Re-enrolment and progressions
Re-enrolment
Continuing postgraduate students are required to re-enrol online.
- You must plan and enrol for both Autumn session and Spring session at the same time via My Student Admin.
- If you cannot view your study plan on My Student Admin or have no access to web enrol, then you cannot web enrol. You will need to lodge an e-Request with enrolment details. There are various reasons why a study plan may be missing including fee sanctions, AWOL status or potentially complete status.

Timetable allocation
You can start allocating to your enrolled classes for 2025 from:
- 9:00am Tuesday, 3 December 2024, for the Autumn session (and the first half of the year).
- 9:00am Tuesday, 29 April 2025, for the Spring session (and the second half of the year).
Academic advice
If you are returning from a leave of absence, repeating subjects or are under academic caution/sanctions, you are strongly recommended to seek academic advice from your discipline’s Responsible Academic Officer (RAO). This is especially important for subjects that have a clinical component.
Progression rules
A Faculty Board may determine specific requirements for the timing and calculation of assessment of rate of progress for students enrolled in particular graduate coursework award courses, or vertically integrated courses (UTS Rule 10.2.3)
Postgraduate and undergraduate Graduate School of Health students may be excluded from further study at the University due to one or more of the following reasons.
If a student fails to meet the minimum rate of progress by failing more than 50 per cent of the total number of enrolled credit points from the commencement of the course (UTS Rule 10.4.1).
If a student exceeds the maximum time to complete the course requirements (UTS Rule 10.5).
The maximum time that can be taken to complete a Graduate School of Health Master’s postgraduate coursework degree (outlined below) is three years unless an exception has been approved by the relevant Responsible Academic Officer (RAO). The degrees are:
- C04252 Master of Pharmacy
- C04299 Master of Orthoptics
- C04300 Master of Clinical Psychology
- C04301 Master of Good Manufacturing Practice
- C04306 Master of Physiotherapy
- C04374 Master of Genetic Counselling
- C04386 Master of Speech Pathology
An exception is the C04395 Master of Pharmacy (International) where the maximum time to complete is five years unless an exception has been approved by the relevant RAO.
The maximum time that can be taken to complete a UTS Online postgraduate coursework degrees outlined below are:
- 30 months for the C06148 Graduate Diploma in Psychology
- 24 months for the C06149 Graduate Diploma in Psychology (Advanced)
Unless an exception has been approved by the relevant RAO.
The maximum time that can be taken to complete the following Graduate School of Health Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate degrees is outlined below:
- 3 years for the C06115 Graduate Diploma in Good Manufacturing Practice
- 1.5 years for the C11249 Graduate Certificate in Good Manufacturing Practice
- 1.5 years for the C11375 Graduate Certificate in Genetic Counselling Skills
Unless an exception has been approved by the relevant RAO.
The maximum time that can be taken to complete an undergraduate psychology course shall not be greater than 50 per cent in excess of the normal completion time laid down for that course.
If a student fails a subject for the second time in a course offered by the Graduate School of Health (excluding students enrolled in Undergraduate Psychology courses) (UTS Rule 10.6.1(2)), and they are not permitted to enrol in that subject for a third time.
- If the subject is a core subject, and the student is refused permission for a third attempt, the student will be excluded from the course for at least one academic year (UTS Rule 10.6.4).
- Students may apply for re-admission to the course through the UTS application process at the end of the one-year exclusion period but readmission is not automatic (Rule 5.9).
Graduate School of Health UTS Online courses C06148 Graduate Diploma in Psychology and C06149 Graduate Diploma in Psychology (Advanced) students will be excluded if they fail three subjects (UTS Rule 10.2.3).
