Previous projects include working in 3D printing for the disability sector, and in digital transformation for non-profit organisations and for-purpose tech-start-ups.
Some of the areas that would complement these opportunities are:
For Software Students:
- Completion of or near completion of Undergraduate University degree in Software Engineering or Information Technology.
- Familiarity with at least one of the following programming languages C#, Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, Swift.
- Familiarity with native iPhone/Android platform development experience
- Awareness of iOS/Android development patterns (View Controllers, Views; Activities, Fragments, Services etc.).
- Familiarity with the development of cross-platform mobile applications and the Xamarin framework.
- Familiarity with any of the following Web technologies like React, Vue.js or Angular – would be a plus.
Design Students:
- Professional experience in User Interface Design, including the ability to produce low-fidelity wireframes, mid-high fidelity mock-ups and prototypes.
- Professional experience of UX / UI best practices and processes, to help consolidate the UX capability at Rapido.
- Professional experience working within the design constraints of engineering frameworks including iOS, bootstrap and material design.
- Wide knowledge of human interaction principles, usability factors and desk design thinking methods.
- Wide knowledge of design software including Sketch, Figma, Miro, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Understanding of coding languages including html and css preferred – basic level of coding ability.
- Understanding of business metrics and the ability to translate company goals and objectives into digital experiences.
