Out front on translational research
UTS is a partner in two industry research centres to win funding from the Australian Government – exploring digital finance and marine bioproduct technologies.
The first is the Digital Finance Cooperative Research Centre (DFCRC), a unique $181 million research collaboration is set to unleash the next wave of fintech and digital transformation of financial markets. It brings together global academic experts with industry partners from established players in finance, mining and energy markets, Australian SME innovators, regulators and cyber-security expert centres
“Australia has taken early leadership in the significant disruptions to financial services exemplified by blockchain. We’re looking to conduct leading-edge research to continue to create new services, technologies, regulation and human capital,” says UTS Finance Discipline Group Professor Talis Putnins, who is also a member of the DFCRC Advisory Committee.
