Iron ore and coking coal have a relatively flat export outlook, while LNG has fast-growing export potential. Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull recently said that the government was considering restricting Australian exports of LNG to ensure sufficient domestic supply. Government intervention may result in economic loss in the long term, and market forces should therefore prevail.
