What’s new in learning with UTS Business School
2020 has seen a lot of changes to how we deliver learning, with the fast switch to remote learning first replacing and now supplementing face-to-face learning in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In addition to adapting how we teach, UTS Business School is excited to be launching a number of initiatives in 2020:
Health Policy and Economics:
Addressing a nationwide shortage in technical skills to critically analyse healthcare policy and healthcare systems, the Centre for Health Economics Research and Evaluation (CHERE), based within UTS Business School, has launched a new postgraduate program in Health Policy and Economics. Designed to suit health professionals looking to move into a policy role, or for consultants and policy advisors wanting to specialise in health policy and evaluation, it provides a comprehensive framework for interrogating health policy problems using quantitative techniques from the economics toolbox. The program will begin in 2021, initially offering enrolment in the Graduate Certificate in Health Policy and Economics and the Master of Health Policy and Economics on a part-time basis, with online delivery.
Summer starts early for postgraduate business:
UTS Business School has significantly expanded the range of courses available to commence in November 2020 for Summer Session, with enrolments now open. With summer holiday options curtailed this year due to Covid-19, postgraduate students are taking the opportunity to commence MBAs and other specialist business courses early, and lighten their study load in 2021. Summer Session begins on Monday, November 16.
Refresh or re-enter with microcredentials:
Our new microcredential courses allow you to explore university-level learning in small and flexible pieces without signing up for a degree. Perfect as either a refresher for existing qualifications, or to dip your toe back into university before committing to a degree. Coming soon from the Business School are a number of microcredentials that are also subjects within our Advanced MBA, Health Policy and Economics, Behavioural Economics and Business Analytics programs. See the UTS Open site for more details.
