UTS CFA Scholarships
UTS BUSINESS SCHOOL– FINANCE DEPARTMENT
UTS is recognized as an affiliated university under the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) University Affiliation Program. CFA Institute is affiliated with select universities around the world that have imbedded into their degree programs a significant percentage (more than 70%) of the CFA® Program Candidate Body of Knowledge. As part of this affiliation, a limited number of scholarships for the CFA exam are available to UTS students.
CFA Program and scholarship facts:
- The CFA program is a graduate level self-study program that does not receive credits from university classes in any UTS undergraduate or postgraduate program.
- UTS subjects do not provide credit towards the CFA program (or vice versa).
- The program consists of three levels; Level I exams are held four times a year (and Levels II and III are held two/three times a year). Past candidates have reported that each exam requires approximately 300 hours of preparation.
- Study material is provided by CFA Institute and is included in the enrolment fee.
- UTS does not administer CFA Program exams, only CFA Institute does.
- UTS does not offer or endorse any CFA exam preparation classes.
- A limited number of scholarships for any CFA exam level are available for UTS students
- The scholarships currently reduce the exam registration fee to USD 600 and waives the one-time enrolment fee.. Please check the regular fee schedule.
- Successful applicants will be able to enrol at the reduced rate in any CFA exam being administered within 1 year of the application deadline.
CFA Program scholarship application requirements:
- Postgraduate students in any year are eligible, however undergraduate applicants have to be expecting to graduate in less than two years.
- Unfortunately, visiting exchange students (1 or 2 UTS semesters only) are not eligible to apply.
CFA Program scholarship application:
- The 2024 Round 2 exam scholarship application deadline is Monday 28th October by 5pm. Please apply by sending an email to kristoffer.glover@uts.edu.au (subject “CFA 2024 scholarship”).
- Please attach one combined PDF file (not 3 separate files) containing all of the following: (i) a letter of motivation (1 page); (ii) your resume (1-2 pages max), and (iii) your academic transcript(s).
- We will be notifying all applicants of the outcome within two weeks of the application deadline.
