2021 Refinitiv honours scholarship winners
Congratulations to Connor Arthur and Thi Tuet Ngan Luong who have been awarded the 2021 Refinitiv Honours Scholarships. These scholarships are awarded every year to two of our best and brightest students entering into UTS Finance Honours program.
We would also like to thank Refinitiv for their continued financial support which has enabled us to provide these scholarships. These scholarship provide an invaluable tool in recognizing excellence amongst our students.
Connor began studying at UTS in 2017, commuting from the Central Coast, north of Sydney, to university for four years to complete his undergraduate degree. He completed a double degree, a Bachelor of Science of Information Technology and a Bachelor of Business majoring in finance. His studies lead to a passion for coding and data analytics, especially surrounding financial data. He hopes to advance his analytical abilities and understanding of finance through completing the UTS Finance Honours program. His career goal is to work as an analyst and to seek opportunities to work overseas. Not content just undertaking his studies at UTS, he has also achieved his certificate 3 in barbering from Gosford TAFE which he studied concurrently with his UTS degrees. This also links into his entrepreneurial spirit as he has developed his own range of organic hair care products which he has begun to produce and market.
Ngan has completed the UTS Bachelor of Business degree, majoring in Finance and Accounting. She is gratefully to be awarded the Refinitiv Finance Honours Scholarship which has allowed her to undertake her honours year. Her area of interest is in working to solve financial problems. She hopes to become a financial advisor for high-profile clients. She believes her education at UTS has prepared her for a long career helping people invest and manage their money successfully.
