The Science Industry Advisory Group was formed to provide strategic advice to the Faculty across a range of areas such as curricula, research and collaborations. It has the task of scrutinising all new programs, proposed initiatives and external focus for the Faculty.

Garry Browne
Chairman, Stuart Alexander & Co Pty Ltd
Garry Browne AM is the Chairman of Stuart Alexander & Co., a company founded in 1884 that imports, markets and distributes premium global brands.
Having led Stuart Alexander & Co. since 1997, Garry is an expert in transforming organisations, managing cultural change, leading innovative practice and building brands into household names.
A committed philanthropist and advocate of corporate social responsibility, Garry holds several non-executive Board roles and supports numerous causes personally as well as through the S'Team Foundation. Garry's significant service to the community was recognised with a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 2014.
Garry has a Bachelor of Business from University of Technology, Sydney and is a former student of the Harvard Business School’s Owner President Management Program.

Greg Gothard is an experienced senior management executive with well-established skills that are weighted towards leading small and large multinational business development teams. Greg has considerable International experience and holds a number of professional qualifications, including an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from University of Technology, Sydney.

Dr Lionel King
Senior Vice President Global Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs at ResMed
Lionel King is Senior Vice President Global Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs at ResMed, which he joined in 2002. Before joining ResMed, Dr King held the role of VP Research and Development at Ambri Pty Ltd, a biotech start-up focusing on the commercialisation of biosensor technology, having joined in 1998. From 1988-1998 Dr King held senior research positions in the CSIRO Divisions of Food Processing and Applied Physics, and the CRC for Molecular Engineering and Technology. From 1986-1988 Dr King held a post-doctoral fellowship at the Dyson Perrins Laboratory, Oxford University.
Dr King has been awarded a CSIRO Position of Excellence and a Japan-Australia Bilateral Research Grant, and is the author of 22 scientific papers and 7 patents. He has a PhD (Organic Chemistry) and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree from Sydney University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Technology Management from Macquarie University.
Dr Alisha Jung
Medical Affairs Specialist & Compliance, Astellas Pharma Australia Pty Ltd
Alisha Jung currently works as a Medical Affairs Specialist & Compliance Advisor at Astellas Pharma Australia, providing commercial and corporate legal advice to the company. Prior to this, Alisha worked at Piper Alderman Sydney as an Intellectual property and Technology Lawyer.
She holds a PhD in Neuroscience from University of Auckland as well as a JD from University of Melbourne. Alisha’s unique and diverse professional experiences and qualifications are great asset to the faculty.
Tony Hunt
Environment Manager, Optus
Tony Hunt is the Environment Manager at Optus. He joined Optus in 2016. Prior to this role he led the environmental management and sustainability function at Transfield Services (from 2003 to 2015); from 2000 to 2003 he worked at State Forests of NSW helping develop carbon offset plantation investments; and from 1994 to 2000 he was the Group Environmental Manager for Burns Philp, a large food manufacturing company with operations world-wide. In a wide-ranging career Tony has worked across many industries and in numerous countries, including substantial experience in water and power infrastructure; transport infrastructure; oil and gas; mining; contaminated sites; facilities management; and manufacturing.
Tony completed a B.App.Sc. in Environmental biology at the NSW Institute of Technology (the forerunner to UTS) followed by a M.App.Sc. at UTS. In addition to his corporate role he is also the Vice-President of the Australian Bird Study Association.
