Public health
With a career in public health, you can drive meaningful change that impacts large numbers of people. That’s because public health is focused on population-level outcomes. Our public health courses are open to both non-medical and medically-qualified students who are seeking a career in public or global health, research or practice. Our courses will give you skills in planning, implementation and evaluation of public health programs in a wide range of areas, such as infectious diseases, reproductive and sexual health and Indigenous health. Health services management
Our health services management program is developing the leaders of today and tomorrow to ensure they have the knowledge, skills and abilities to manage and shape the complex and rapidly changing fields of health and social care. Our students are guided through the latest management theories, and equipped with practical skills in quality improvement, planning, management and digital health. They are exposed to industry experts who share both their knowledge and wisdom of the latest challenges and most effective methods for improving the quality and outcomes of care, whether that care is delivered in hospitals or in the community.

Diabetes Education and Management
If you're a health professional, studying diabetes education and management at a postgraduate level will provide you with the knowledge and skills to provide care in the area of diabetes education and management in a variety of settings. Diabetes Educators and professionals work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assist and care for people living with diabetes, and their families, to educate and provide them with strategies to self-manage their illness and prevent complications.

The Girra Maa Indigenous Health Discipline lead an Indigenous health major in the Bachelor of Public Health and the OPM Master of Public Health. These subjects may be taken as electives across UTS.
