These links are examples of where to look now and for NAIDOC 2020 and beyond. Don’t wait to be invited! This is more than professional development or student research. This is about being part of Australian culture – enlivening it, living it.
It’s over to us, all people living in Australia, to tune in and get involved in celebrations and observances of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and culture. As National NAIDOC Co-Chair John Paul Janke says:
The history of our First Peoples is the history of all of us, of all of Australia, and we need to own it - hearing this history is necessary before we can come to some true reconciliation, some genuine healing for both sides.
So keep an open mind, step into new experiences, enjoy the moment!
