Faculty of Health appoints Distinguished Professors
- The UTS Faculty of Health has appointed Professor Elizabeth Sullivan, Professor Jon Adams and Professor Caroline Homer Distinguished Professors
- Distinguished Professors have made a truly outstanding contribution to society through teaching, research and engagement
The end of 2016 saw the inauguration of the Distinguished Professor scheme at UTS. UTS makes a limited number of Distinguished Professor appointments for a three to five year period to recognise and support individuals who have made a truly outstanding contribution to society through teaching, research and engagement and for their contribution towards achieving the UTS vision of becoming a world-leading university of technology.
A core responsibility for Distinguished Professors is that they work to enhance the academic profile and reputation of UTS, positively promoting a culture of excellence and collegiality within UTS. The appointment of the title of Distinguished Professor recognises achievement at the highest level, taking into account not only past eminence and track-record, but also the potential for ongoing excellence.
The Faculty of Health is proud to have recently had three new Distinguished Professors appointed. All are world leaders in their field and are operating at the very highest levels of performance and impact:
