Dr. Tim Luckett contributes to Quality of Death Index
Dr Tim Luckett, Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Health and Program Coordinator at the Centre for Cardiovascular and Chronic Care (CCCC), was chosen by The Economist Intelligence Unit to contribute to the 2015 Quality of Death Index.
Dr. Luckett was interviewed as a pallative care expert representing Australia, alongside four other representatives.
The report, commissioned by the Lien Foundation, aims to highlight the advances countries around the world have made to improve the quality of death through the provision of high-quality palliative care.
"It's so fantastic that Australia was ranked second in the report and that we have been able to maintain this amazing result from last year," said Dr. Luckett.
Australia was ranked second in the world for 2015 with 91.6, behind the United Kingdom at 93.9.
