Celebrating SOWN 2020
UTS celebrates the launch of the first State of the World’s Nursing Report with colleagues around the world.
This year, World Health Day (7 April) marked the launch of the first State of the World’s Nursing Report.
Developed by the World Health Organisation (WHO) in partnership with the International Council of Nurses and the Nursing Now campaign, the report highlights the vital role of nurses in the provision of health care, as well as the need to strengthen and support the nursing workforce.
In honour of this, the WHO Collaborating Centre for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Development (WHO CC UTS) held a virtual event for colleagues from around the Western Pacific region and beyond.
This was an opportunity for speakers around the world to celebrate the State of the World’s Nursing Report 2020 and to discuss its impact for the nursing profession.
