At the Faculty of Engineering and IT at UTS, we are proud to be powered by over 200 women who make up our academic and professional staff workforce.

Inspiring the next generation of women in engineering and IT

Portrait shot of Professor Peta Wyeth, Dean of Faculty of Engineering and IT

From teaching staff to researchers, faculty administration and beyond, our amazing women, in collaboration with our supportive male allies, lead social change initiatives and create impact in fostering inclusion.

Founded in 1981, UTS has the longest standing Women in Engineering and IT program in Australia. The WiEIT program provides opportunities for girls and women of all ages to make their mark in study or a career in engineering or IT through scholarships, events, school programs, community outreach and mentorship.

As the faculty Dean, I’m passionate and committed to creating the most diverse faculty over the next five years by creating positive experiences for students and staff, and I am committed to creating a safe environment where we all can belong.
