Close up of hands holding a multicolour, multitexture high resolution 3D print as students observe

Complex geometries, intricate details, vivid full-colour combinations, transparencies, and flexible parts, printed all in one model.

Stratasys J750

Polyjet printing (or material jetting) uses a similar process to that of inkjet (2D) printing. As 2D printers use CYMK cartridges, our Stratasys J750 3D printer hold Cyan, Yellow, Magenta, Black, White, Clear, Agilus30, and soluble support material cartridges, and many variations able to be printed at once.

This allows for realistic colour replication, complete assemblies, and even transparency within one model. The team have had great success using this machine to produce clear lenses, flexible components for robotics and have even produced a few creepy replications of body parts.

For best print results, refer to the Polyjet design guide

HOW IT WORKS

A series of print heads deposits a fine layers of viscous, liquid resin onto the print bed according to the setup in one pass, followed by a pass of UV lamps, which cures and solidifies the layer of material. Printed parts are then taken to a wash to dissolve printed soluble support material, rinsed, and dried.
