Inspiring future global citizens
Faculty Global Mobility Fair is a churro (sure) way to success.
Study overseas for a week, a month or a semester or two!
The Engineering and IT Think Global Fair held on 16 August has inspired our students to participate in Global Exchanges, Global Short Programs and paid Global Internships as a way to broaden their academic, cultural, and personal experiences. Drawing a massive crowd, the heart of our Building 11 was abuzz with students, academics, and partners, echoing excitement, laughter, conversations and commencement of plans from students to take up the global opportunities on offer.
The Fair was a collaborative effort and included inbound students hailing from different corners of the globe who proudly represented their home universities, shared personal experiences and revealed insider information about their home countries. Our returned outbound students spoke with enthusiasm about their experiences abroad. Faculty experts provided the students with academic guidance, and colleagues from our UTS International team talked to students about sourcing opportunities, the application process and financial assistance.
The Engineering and IT Think Global Fair concluded on a high note, leaving students excited about the prospects of adding global experiences into their studies. With a newly found inspiration, many have declared their readiness to go on global exchange, internships, and short programs.
To add a sweet global touch to the event, students were treated to free warm churros (with chocolate sauce, of course!) – a multicultural delight that amplified the festive ambience and made it even easier for the students to connect with their new peers and academics. So, the Faculty Global Fair was a churro (sure?) success in every way!
