What is interaction design?

New technological developments will fuel the growth of the global digital economy. To meet this growth, Interaction Designers will be tasked with creating people-centric solutions, overseeing the design of every digital touchpoint and creating a holistic experience.

Interaction Design is the design of interactive digital products, digital environments, systems and services that meet the needs of its users. The design process is informed by research which looks into people’s practices, situations and values, each of which add unique expectations to their experience.

Acknowledgement of Country

UTS acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the Boorooberongal people of the Dharug Nation, the Bidiagal people and the Gamaygal people, upon whose ancestral lands our university stands. We would also like to pay respect to the Elders both past and present, acknowledging them as the traditional custodians of knowledge for these lands.
