After the Australian Ugliness (published with Thames and Hudson 2021) brought together a globally renowned group of scholars, designers, and artists to reflect on the legacy of architect and cultural commentator Robin Boyd’s seminal book, The Australian Ugliness. Co-editors at UTS, Monash University and The National Gallery of Victoria partnered with the Robin Boyd Foundation for a book launch at Boyd’s historical residence as part of Melbourne Design week in 2021. The book has been reviewed in the Australian Book Review and Architecture AU. It is a significant contribution to the national discussion of the role design and architecture play in the formation of culture.
