UTS, the Australian Fashion Council, the Powerhouse, the Greater Cities Commission and TAFE NSW have come together to launch a new report: Advancing a Creative Industries Precinct for Sydney. Together, we have formed a Steering Committee, to shape where we will lead the uplift and growth of the creative industries hub within the Tech Central precinct.
Tech Central is home to almost 3,000 businesses across fashion, film, media, design and architecture. We envision the area as a vibrant centre where brands, start-ups, established businesses and people come together to share ideas and collaborate – a place that is a fusion of creativity and technology.
This report explores how the established key institutions within Tech Central can support future creative industries’ jobs, facilitate connections, share knowledge and provide access to creative spaces.
