UTS FASS alumni celebrated in Australia Day Honours

UTS is proud to announce that 11 alumni have been recognised in the 2018 Australia Day Honours. 

Of these 11 awardees, five are graduates of UTS' Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. 
Congratulations to Vivienne White, Jozefa Sobski, Garry Traynor, David Collins and Lieutenant Colonel Melanie Cochbain, who have been recognised for their contribution to education, justice and service. We are honoured to have people who have made such meaningful contributions to society as alumni of our faculty.

Acknowledgement of Country

UTS acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the Boorooberongal people of the Dharug Nation, the Bidiagal people and the Gamaygal people, upon whose ancestral lands our university stands. We would also like to pay respect to the Elders both past and present, acknowledging them as the traditional custodians of knowledge for these lands.
