It's not just exams
Do you struggle under the pressure of written exams? Then prepare yourself for some welcome news.
In every faculty at UTS, students are increasingly undertaking authentic non-traditional assessments. The idea is to set realistic assessment tasks that relate to how students will use what they have learned in their future careers. At UTS, this can include activities like working in a pop-up Newsroom, designing an animation for a real-world client brief, developing a screencast, arguing mock law cases, creating art, scientifically testing household items and assessing your own organisational and interpersonal skills.
And so far, the move has been a win-win, for the students and their teachers.
