2SER's Radiothon starts Fri 13 Sep: Support and celebrate!
2SER's annual supporter donation call out starts this Friday 13 September with mates rates for UTS supporters and a magnificently curated selection of prizes.
For 45 years UTS has supported independent community radio station 2SER 107.3 FM. UTS volunteer station staff and donors have helped to ensure that this independent station continues to broadcast sounds, stories and ideas across our city. On Friday it's the annual 2SER RADIOTHON.
Staffed by tireless volunteers, including countless UTS staff, students and alumni, this vital and energetic community radio station has helped launch hundreds of students into careers into a myriad of different industries. Former 2SER volunteers are innovators and leaders in multiple fields, in broadcasting, journalism, music, sound design, technology, communications, and political and social advocacy.
Subscribers and donors have kept 2SER going for more than 45 years. During the pandemic they kept the station broadcasting when all other funding sources dried up, and when lightning struck the antenna on top of the UTS Tower building in spectacular and signal-stopping fashion, supporter donations ensured the station could keep transmitting.
If you use your UTS email address there's a special supporter mates rate. UTS supporters with active UTS email addresses can sign up for concession subscriber rates. See rates.
The prize pool for subscribers includes tickets for gigs and music festivals, comedy festivals and writers' festivals, as well as a mountain bike, a tattoo voucher, a year's supply of beer (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), or coffee if you prefer, and some utterly stellar music and sound gear. See prizes.
