Why participate

Monitoring the quality of outcomes of people living with eating disorders makes an invaluable contribution to improving eating disorder healthcare in Australia.

The TrEAT Registry is a long-term initiative that:

  1. Monitors the effectiveness and safety of eating disorder treatment
  2. Feeds back client data to clinicians and consumers to support shared decision-making
  3. Reports to government on broader eating disorder healthcare initiatives to support policy improvement, and
  4. Makes use of valuable clinical data to advance knowledge about eating disorders treatment.

Inclusion in the TrEAT Registry is voluntary, and there are no financial incentives for clients or clinicians to participate.

Our partners

My practice’s involvement in the TrEAT Registry has allowed us to bridge the divide between clinical practice and research, in making ongoing data collection viable. I genuinely believe this allows us to provide better care to our clients. — Dr Mandy Goldstein, Director of everyBody Psychology & Wellbeing

How to participate

You can register your interest by completing our Expression of Interest form or by emailing treat@uts.edu.au.

There are three stages of setting up your clinic as a participating TrEAT site:

1. Engagement of relevant clinic staff

Registry involvement involves input and engagement from all levels of staff including management, administration, and clinical staff. Each Partner Clinic must nominate an onsite registry coordinator, who will be the main point of contact and is responsible for compliance with registry policies and procedures.

2. Ethics approvals

Our team will help coordinate submissions for local ethics and governance approvals.

3. Training

Eligible clinics will be advised on how to begin preparing for registry data collection. We will provide necessary resources to assist and train all relevant staff prior to data collection commencing.
