Regional Update March
Welcome to the Regional Update for March 2023 from the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Development at the University of Technology Sydney (WHO CC UTS).
Colleagues within the Centre, from copywriters to graphic designers, have been incredibly busy drafting the latest edition of the Global Network of World Health Organization Collaborating Centres for Nursing and Midwifery (GNWHOCCNM) LINKS Magazine. The publication was released on 30 January and marked the first of what will be many during WHO CC UTS’ 4 year tenure as Secretariat for GNWHOCCNM. The Centre would like to thank all regional and global contributors for their generosity in time and effort, and for their continuing work toward the global health workforce agenda.
Otherwise, the Centre has been continually strengthening working relationships with key local and regional partners. Director Prof. Michele Rumsey in a recent trip to the Australian Parliament connected with the Commonwealth Government regarding nursing and midwifery challenges in the Pacific.
