Public History Review
Public History Review is a wide-ranging, interdisciplinary journal devoted to providing a forum for debate and discussion of the diverse field of practice known as 'public history' across nations and cultures. It also provides a vehicle for publishing contemporary pieces of public history. And it addresses the relationship between fields of public history and their audiences.
Contributors include freelance historians, academics, museum specialists, heritage practitioners, film makers, oral historians and others working in cultural areas.
The journal aims to promote excellence in professional standards of practice, to promote and enhance professional and community understandings of the many forms and areas of 'public histories', to encourage a wide range of groups to participate in public debates about history, and to foster an understanding and appreciation of the diverse and complex role of public history in cultural life.
