Who we are
The School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation was formally established in 2020. However, the disciplines of sport and exercise have been a prominent part of UTS for over twenty years.
Our sports-related subjects are ranked top 50 in the world*.
Vision
We aim to produce high-quality, globally-respected research and educational programs in sport, exercise and physical activity. Our programs provide diverse career pathways within sport, health and research whilst ensuring our graduates are adaptive learners and thinkers who are prepared for lifelong leadership and learning.
Mission
Teaching and learning
Our school provides students with authentic learning experiences through the delivery of innovative and flexible courses, taught by award-winning educators within world class facilities in the heart of Sydney’s sporting precinct.
Research, innovation and impact
Our school brings together leading researchers who collaborate to develop authentic, impactful real-world applications for sport, health and exercise. The Human Performance Research Centre sits within the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation. The centre acts as an incubator of industry focussed research through innovative thinking, collaboration and partnership.
Industry partners
Our school has a global network of industry partners we collaborate with and provide consultancy to. Our staff are leaders who educate for the future workforce and inform industry bodies on professional practice, research and educational priorities.
