What does the landscape of women in leadership look like today?
Women in leadership: business and politics
Women's leadership roles in both business and politics have dramatically evolved since the beginning of the 20th century. The second wave feminist movement facilitated progress, but we still continue to see a dramatic gender disparity.
So, what will it take to further progress? And what does progress look like in relation to not only having more women in leadership roles but having a diversity of women in these positions?
Today, we take a look at women in business leadership and compare the history, culture, barriers and opportunities of women in political leadership.
Presenter Stefan Posthuma is joined in the studio by Claire Wright, business historian at the UTS Business School and Dr Blair Williams, Research Fellow and lecturer with the Global Institute for Women's Leadership at the Australian National University.
