Collaborative robots will share work with you: not steal it
A world of automation is good news thanks to an innovative partnership that will support teamwork between robots and employees.
In a strong partnership between UTS Robotics Institute and Nokia, collaborative robots (Cobots) are set to make certain tasks, not jobs, obsolete through their in-built capabilities that will make them useful in human environments.
These lightweight, multi-purpose breeds of robots are equipped to sense their surroundings, navigate spaces and respond to human instincts via voice commands or hand gestures, making them resourceful partners at work.
Research findings from a recent study revealed that Cobots can effectively transfer volumes of data through a 5G network, emphasising significant improvements for robotic systems across workspaces.
