Congratulations to the UTS School of Built Environment research team of Professor Shankar Sankaran and Adjunct Professors Nathalie Drouin and Ralf Müller – announced as the winner of the PMI (Project Management Institute) Research Achievement Award for 2022 at the European Academy of Management (EURAM) conference in Zurich.
Shankar, Nathalie and Ralf began working together in 2011 and have built a reputation as a proactive group of researchers in the project management community. Their collaboration over a decade has made a significant contribution to the advancement of the field of project management through a published body of academic research in the fields of organizational project management, leadership in projects, and governance.
Their initial aim was to advance theorizing in project management by proposing novel research approaches, with a view to expanding the methods used in the field. Their joint work has resulted in enduring theoretical, empirical, and practical value – demonstrated across their publications, research awards, and knowledge transfer, as well as their contribution to the discipline through editorial roles in prominent project management journals.
Their research topics are inspirational and provide valuable guidance both to the project management research community and to practitioners seeking to improve their practices.
This award is particularly prestigious as only one recipient team is chosen each year, from a pool of nominees across the globe. The Project Management Institute (PMI) is the leading, global professional association for project management, and the authority for a growing global community of millions of project professionals and individuals who use project management skills.
