ACOD
"ACOD (The Australasian College of Optical Dispensing) highly values the close and collaborative relationship we have with UTS Orthoptics. Our respective faculties are both industry colleagues and personal friends, and our teachers present guest lectures and workshops to each other’s students.
In particular, in recent years ACOD has offered the UTS Orthoptics students practical workshops in the edging and fitting of ophthalmic lenses to optical frames. The students receive the teaching, and then the opportunity to edge and fit specially pre-ordered lenses and produce industry quality spectacles that are actually made to their own prescription or that of a family member.
ACOD knows that collaborations like we have with UTS Orthoptics produces multiple benefits for everyone involved, including the college faculties, the students, our industry employers and ultimately our patients.
ACOD looks forward to many more years working closely with the UTS Discipline of Orthoptics."
