Overview

A new era of increased research collaboration is beginning between UTS and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) through the Joint Research Centre in Intelligent Systems.

The joint centre seeks to establish long term and sustainable research collaboration between the two institutions in the intelligent system research area to benefit both universities. The joint centre will also strengthen research training for research students in both institutions, as the students will have comprehensive research supervision from experienced research academics from both universities.

The centre will work jointly with UTS' priority research centre, The Centre for Quantum Computation and Intelligent Systems (QCIS), whose director, Professor Chengqi Zhang, has been instrumental in establishing the joint centre.

UTS acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the Boorooberongal people of the Dharug Nation, the Bidiagal people and the Gamaygal people, upon whose ancestral lands our university stands. We would also like to pay respect to the Elders both past and present, acknowledging them as the traditional custodians of knowledge for these lands.
