Who is the MWN for?
MWN membership
The Multicultural Women’s Network was created for UTS professionals, students and academics, continuing/tenured, fixed-term and sessional/casual staff members and HDR students who identify as women and who have been minoritised based on their cultural, ethnic or linguistic background.
While the MWN’s key goal is to provide a platform for multicultural women, membership is open to all allies who may not identify as multicultural women but are keen to support the network's goals, are willing to listen and learn, and are open to challenging their own biases.
Why should I join?
If you are looking for support and a space to celebrate and showcase your work and contributions, connect with like-minded women, and share your experiences in a safe environment, then this is the place for you!
How can I get involved?
We offer opportunities including:
- informal coffee catchups to meet and get to know other women across UTS.
- online and face-to-face events to hear about amazing projects influencing cultural and systemic change for equity and inclusion.
- mentoring support.
We are always looking for opportunities that will support and advocate for this community, so please feel free to reach out with new ideas.
If you would like to join our core committee or would like to contribute your skills to the network in some way, please contact us on mwn@uts.edu.au
Cost
