The university’s Plus UTS Unit (PlusUTS) oversees the delivery of enterprise learning programs (EL), events and information for corporate development and training and provides information to organisations about the changing nature of work.  

Collecting and using your information 

If you chose to receive information from Plus UTS or EL or otherwise engage with Plus UTS or EL , Plus UTS will collect and manage your personal information for the following purposes: 

  • Reports, White Papers and general information: We collect information directly from organisations in order to provide them with reports, white papers and other general information about enterprise learning at UTS. Some of the information collected is personal information, including participant’s contact details, some demographic information and workforce needs. Other information is obtained from existing UTS systems where relevant. For example, information will be collected from the university’s enterprise CRM currently in use by the Corporate Relations Centre. This information will be used to evaluate the information that might be of most interest to an organisation. 

  • Events: We collect your contact information, and accessibility requirements if relevant, when you register for a Plus UTS or EL event. This information will be used to facilitate your attendance and to communicate with you about updates to the event.   

  • Newsletters and keeping informed about Plus UTS or EL activities: When you register for our newsletter or to receive updates from Plus UTS, the information collected will be used to maintain communication with you, including our activities and initiatives, events, publications and news generally. You may register directly or by opting in when registering for an event. 

  • We may use photography, screenshots and content from events (for example; general comments, ideas and statements that are shared) for future promotional use. Should you have any questions about this please contact us using the information below. 

Information held will also be used for quality improvement purposes for our products and services, as well as planning, including for Plus UTS and strategic planning for the university.  

Storing your information and use of overseas service providers 

The information we collect is stored on our behalf in databases hosted with Airtable and Salesforce. Both are hosted in the USA. For event and newsletter communications, we also use Email Sstudio to distribute the emails to you and to keep you in the loop with any updates regarding the event in question. Please refer to the separate Privacy Policies of Airtable, and Salesforce before registering for an event or signing up for our newsletter. 

UTS may also engage other contractors to undertake specific tasks involved with managing Plus UTS or enterprise learning, including managing data quality or data visualisation and analytics. 

 Your information will remain held for the purposes referred to in this privacy notice and in line with the university’s legal minimum records retention obligations.  

Disclosing your information 

UTS may Separate from the use service provides to provide the services and support to you in line with this privacy notice. Otherwise , your information will not be disclosed without your consent unless a disclosure is required or permitted by law. 

Making a request 

You are able to make a request to access, correct, update or delete information held about you, or to make a complaint about how your information is being managed. You may also withdraw your consent to being part of the Plus UTS database, restrict how your information will be used, or withdraw your registration for an event. 

You can also unsubscribe from communications at any time by using the link provided in any communication you receive from Plus UTS or Enterprise Learning, or by contacting our team at the contact details below.
