Application for a digital original testamur

Do not use this form if you’ve lost or damaged your testamur or your name has changed since the original testamur was issued.

You will need to apply for a replacement testamur.


Your testamur is the certificate of degree or diploma certificate that you receive after:

  • the completion of your course and
  • your award has been conferred by the University Council.

Your UTS testamur will contain:

  • your formal name
  • your award title
  • level of award (if applicable)
  • the conferral date
  • an official testamur number
  • the university seal
  • the signatures of the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor.

UTS issues testamurs for graduate diplomas, bachelor, masters and doctorate degrees. Graduands of combined degree courses will receive a separate testamur for each award.

From 2018, all new graduands will receive their official university documents digitally, in addition to receiving a printed testamur if they selected to opt in.

If the decision was to opt out, this means only hardcopy printed graduation documents will be received. Graduands or alumni graduands can choose to purchase a digital copy of their original testamur. This will be issued in the current testamur style at the time of purchase, but will show the original date of graduation.
