Application for Australian Higher Education Statement (AHEGS)

Graduates will not receive an AHEGS for awards conferred prior to the 18 August 2010 conferral date. Please do not apply if you graduated prior to August 2010.

What is AHEGS?


AHEGS is an official record of your study at UTS and as such it is an important document. If you apply for further study at another institution you will be required to submit a copy. You may also be required to submit a copy if you need to apply for registration with a particular professional body or when applying for positions.

An AHEGS includes details of:

  • the nature, level, context and status of the studies
  • UTS as the awarding institution
  • the student’s academic achievements towards the award
  • particular course related achievements of the student and assessed competencies and graduate employability skills, such as student participation on committees, where this information is held
  • special achievements, recognition and prizes
  • information about the education system providing the qualification.

AHEGS format

UTS issues its AHEGS in two formats. You have an option to order one format or both:

Hardcopy printed - A physical of AHEGS will be issued via post to the address you have provided.

Digital copy - A digital copy of the AHEGS is issued through My eQuals, which is viewable online. Using My eQuals, the document can be accessed at any time and can also be shared privately to third parties online.

Note: to receive a digital copy, you must create a My eQuals account first. Please refer to the UTS My eQuals FAQ page for more information on how to do this.

Ordering both formats

If you wish to obtain both a printed and digital version of your AHEGS, you can order and pay in the same application. You will be charged accordingly for each format.

AHEGS charges

  • Administrative charge per printed AHEGS - $40 (GST free)
  • Administrative charge per digital AHEGS - $32 (GST free)

Printed AHEGS delivery charges

  • Delivery to a local address by express mail - $15 (including GST)
  • Delivery to an overseas address by express mail - $50 (including GST)
  • Collect in person - No charge
