China grows restless over Albanese’s visit uncertainty

Beijing is growing frustrated that Anthony Albanese has not yet locked in a date to visit China despite recent backdowns over trade sanctions and a series of meetings at the ministerial and bureaucratic levels.

The Australian Financial Review understands Chinese officials feel they have already made significant concessions and question why Mr Albanese has been hard to pin down on the timing of a visit despite telling world leaders at the recent G7 summit he intended to go.
