The powerful security partnership between Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States, AUKUS, vows to position Australia in a better position against growing tensions in the Indo-Pacific. 

In Australia, while there is debate over this cardinal feature, could the results of the upcoming U.S. election impact the agreement...and would the U.S. protect Australia if war with China broke out?
