Graduate Certificate in Executive Management

This course is only available to international students, and only by distance mode. International students are not eligible for a student visa to study this course in Australia.
The Graduate Certificate in Executive Management provides essential skills and knowledge used in the general management of a business unit or enterprise.
The Certificate has been designed for busy professionals who seek to upskill in essential business and management domains while having the flexibility of a fully online delivery. All course content can be applied in professional work contexts so that students can learn and directly benefit.
Course aims
General management skills are developed in areas of strategic thinking, financial management, accounting, marketing, data analytics, governance and risk, and responsible management practice. Graduates are prepared to manage effectively and responsibly in a range of business contexts.

In most cases, UTS offers domestic students entry to postgraduate courses on a fee paying basis.
Tuition fees are charged:
- based on the particular course in which you are enrolled
- based on the number of credit points in which you are enrolled
- at the rates set for the current year and revised annually

Additional information
Course duration
The course is offered on a eight-month, full-time or up to one-year, part-time basis.
Admission requirements
Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies.
Professional Experience Requirement: At least six years full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional work experience.
The relevant work experience must be demonstrated through a C.V. and a Statement of Service, confirming the dates of employment, and the position held within the organisation.
Interview Requirement: Attend an interview with the director of the EMBA.
Applicants without an academic qualification may be considered for the Graduate Certificate with eight years of full-time, or equivalent npart-time, senior management work experience and a general capacity to undertake tertiary education.
The English proficiency requirement for international students or local applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 7.0 overall with a writing score of 6.5; or TOEFL: paper based: 584-609 overall, internet based: 94-101 overall with a writing score of 24; or AE6: Pass; or PTE: 65-72 overall with a writing score 58; or C1A/C2P: 185-190 with a writing score 176.
Eligibility for admission does not guarantee offer of a place.
International studentsVisa requirement: To obtain a student visa to study in Australia, international students must enrol full time and on campus. Australian student visa regulations also require international students studying on student visas to complete the course within the standard full-time duration. Students can extend their courses only in exceptional circumstances.

Recognition of prior learning
Students in the Graduate Certificate in Executive Management are not usually granted exemptions for prior studies.
